When the Telegraph came out this August with an article entitled “Best of both worlds: Swap your Surrey semi for a French chateau and still work in London”, I found the story and the comments quite amusing. Certain comments found this excessive for different reasons.
Yet commuting between the Var and Cote d'Azur and the "North", in other words the UK, Belgium and other countries is what entrepreneurs and dreamers open to a change in lifestyle would love to do.
Benefit of blue skies all the year round instead of just for a few weeks in the summer, and provide your family the space, garden and a pool and you can add to the list walking in Provence, the sea, sailing, skiing in southern alps in the winter and restaurants.
This option is not only reserved for globe trotters ! Downsize to a smaller flat in the town you work, then use the spare money to reinvest in a house in the South of France.
So why not jump the step and decide to move here, especially with low cost air travel available now for the commuters of the future.
